Its the beginning

  • who I am
  • what defines me
  • what I plan on talking about
  • my knitting projects
  • well wishes
Hey! I am Jen, I go by Karmas Laugh on Ravelry and YouTube
I am a wife a mother and I have been a student, but in May that'll change
I have taught myself how to knit, crochet, spin, and dye using the Internet, so I plan on talking about what's available for people with yarn fetishes like myself
I have so far knitted the typical scarf, a few hats, hand warmers and a blanket
I have crocheted an amigurumi Snorlax for my husband, a couple of hats, and I am working a blanket
I have used straights, DPNs, circulars, looms, and hooks, I really plan on just learning everything I can Kaizan the japanese  philosophy of continuous improvement is important in the my kitting life and in my household (yes, I am that big of a nerd and I do think that way in my head)

YouTube is like my home on the internet, I use it for everything
Beauty: makeup, hair, nails
Yarn and everything that entails
Science: I LOVE minute physics, I just feel smarter
Art and Culture: VSauce, is there anyone in the world sexier than Michael and his beard, I think not

So many of my reviews will be on YouTube videos but I love to read articles as well, so Knitty and Knitting Daily and others will be up for me to talk about

Thats about it, then, I hope to be keeping this blog updated at least once a week, I don't want you guys to expect knitting patterns. I am not that girl. I want you to come to this blog and enjoy my failings as I try to figure out this craziness "the Fiber World". I want you to feel rejoiced that I have accomplished something and now you know really anyone can do it. I want to be the reason you tackle a new project that looks way too hard but you think it can be done anyway, all because I am no professional and I wasn't born with needle and hook in hand. Nope I started in September 2010. So, I can and therefore you can, I am no prodigy (and that will become apparent). Let's just see where this goes, and hope we don't get Karma laughing too hard
